Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore, through its University Center for International Solidarity (CeSI), offered students of the University 10 places for participation in the Milanese stop of “The Last 20”. The initiative is promoted by Fondazione Terre des Hommes, Fondazione Casa della Carità, Associazione Laudato si’ – Un’alleanza per il clima, la Terra e la giustizia sociale and Associazione East River ASD APS.

The initiative, sponsored by the Municipality of Milan, is part of the initiatives organized in anticipation of the "Pre-COP 26", scheduled in Milan between 30 September and 2 October 2021, the latest official climate ministerial conference preceding the 26th United Nations Conference of the Parties on Climate Change (COP 26), which will take place in Glasgow from 31 October to 12 November 2021 under the presidency of the United Kingdom in partnership with Italy.

A Milano l’iniziativa “The Last 20”, svoltasi dal 23 al 27 settembre 2021 presso gli spazi di Fondazione Casa della Carità e Associazione East River ASD APS, ha promosso conferenze, eventi, workshop e laboratori sul tema del cambiamento climatico e dei suoi effetti sulle popolazioni delle ultime 20 economie mondiali, i cosiddetti last 20, in ambito sanitario, migratorio ed economico.

In Milan, the "The Last 20" initiative took place from 23 to 27 September 2021 in the spaces of Fondazione Casa della Carità and Associazione East River ASD APS and promoted conferences, events, workshops and laboratories on the theme of climate change and its effects on the populations of the last 20 world economies, the so-called last 20, in the health, migration and economic fields.

8 students of the Faculty of political and social Sciences and of the Graduate School of Economics and International Relations (ASERI) took part in the initiative. They reported their experience here.
