In the academic year 2018/2019 Fondazione ISTUD and Università Cattolica established for the first time two scholarships to fully cover the costs of participation in the 1st level University Master's degree “Risorse Umane e Organizzazione” (Human Resources and Organization), reserved for young people with refugee status or subsidiary protection status.

Istituto Giuseppe Toniolo di Studi Superiori and CeSI participated in the project by providing two scholarships to cover the costs of board and lodging. Candidates meeting the following requirements participated in the selection process: refugee status or subsidiary protection status, university degree, good knowledge of Italian and English. The awarding of the scholarship was subject to the evaluation of the Selection Committee composed of members of the Università Cattolica and the ISTUD Foundation. The initiative is inspired by the belief that educational inclusion, particularly at a managerial and business management level, represents a small but significant element for the growth of the Italian economic system as well as a real source of knowledge in the direction of multiculturalism. The project also took place in the academic years 2019/2020, 2020/2021 and 2021/2022.

In June 2022 the initiative was awarded by UNHCR, which included ISTUD and the Master in Human Resources and Organization of Università Cattolica among the organizations with the “WeWelcome” logo, for the effort in support of refugees integration.
