Many volumes and papers have been published, research and intervention tools have been applied to the family through its life development. This work has been proving the soundness of the family as an institution that thrives through generations and families alliances despite today's plurality of forms of families that coexist on the social scene.
Innovative constructs, key words and theoretical frameworks have been introduced in the field of knowledge about wedding, fostering and adoption divorce, young adult life and social policies for the family and they have influenced the Italian as well as the international culture.
The  intergenerational approach and the focus on the exchange of what is given and what is received through generations have guided our innovative research and training programs.
