NEET'S NET - Networking for inclusive and sustainable economic growth. Decent employment, entrepreneurship, skills acquisition and participation of vulnerable young girls and boys
The project "NEET'S NET - Networking for inclusive and sustainable economic growth. Decent employment, entrepreneurship, skills acquisition and participation of vulnerable young girls and boys" promotes decent employment, entrepreneurship, skills acquisition and participation in inclusive and sustainable economic growth of young people between 15 and 24 years old (especially young women and young men in vulnerable positions), in the cities of Mbalmayo, Bafoussam and Garoua, Cameroon.
The aim is to propose, on the one hand, solutions for skills mismatch, through the strengthening and diversification of the training offer and through the implementation of a skills certification system; on the other hand, strategies to encourage employment and social protection and promotion.
The Association Centro Orientamento Educativo - COE (lead partner) boasts a 50-year commitment in Cameroon and in this project, in order to maximise the impact of the intervention, it works in collaboration with ARCS - Culture Solidali, COE CAM (a Cameroonian association deeply rooted in the areas of intervention), Ingegneria Senza Frontiere, Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore and the Municipality of Milan, which contribute to the intervention in their respective areas of expertise.
The Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore (UCSC), with the Centro di Ateneo per la Solidarietà Internazionale (CeSI), will be responsible for coordinating and supervising the drafting and revision of three training programmes in the fields of energy, health and agro-industry, ensuring specialised knowledge and guaranteeing methodological accuracy in data collection and analysis. The planned activities include a preliminary analysis of the current situation and existing training programmes, scientific support for the interviews to privileged stakeholders and local focus groups, the drafting of the new training programmes in collaboration with local and Italian experts, the monitoring of early implementation of the programmes and the evaluation of the experimental phase.
